DME Connector View:

1. With the ignition switch in the "OFF" position, disconnect the Digital Motor Electronic (DME) control unit harness connector (control unit is located in the E-Box). See COMPONENT LOCATIONS.
2. Connect a FUSED jumper between brown/black/yellow wire (terminal 27), of the harness connector and ground.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the run position and MOMENTARILY connect a FUSED jumper between terminal 3 (X6010), and ground.
4. Listen and feel fuel injectors 2-4-6.

^ If all three fuel injector valves click, remove the fused jumpers. Replace the DME control unit.
^ If one or more fuel injection valves do not click, remove the FUSED jumper at terminal 3.

5. With the ignition switch in the OFF position, disconnect the harness connectors from fuel injector valves 2, 4 and 6.
6. Turn the ignition switch to the run position and measure the voltages of each fuel injector connector.

^ Red/white/yellow wire (terminal 2) and ground = battery voltage. If not check wire to the DME main relay for an open.
^ Brown/yellow/white (terminal 1) and red/white/yellow wire (terminal 2) = 0 volts. If not, check terminal 3 of DME control unit connector for a short to ground.
^ Brown/yellow/white wire (terminal 1) and ground = 0 volts. If not, check wire to terminal 3 of the DME control unit for a short to voltage.

7. Reconnect a FUSED jumper between terminal 3 of the DME control unit harness connector and ground. Measure the voltage at the injector connector.

^ Brown/yellow/white (terminal 1) and red/white/yellow wire (terminal 2) = battery voltage. If not check wire from terminal 1 of the fuel injector connector to terminal 3 of DME control unit connector for an open.
^ If all the voltages are correct, remove fused jumpers and replace the defective fuel injector(s).
