Air/Fuel Mixture: Testing and Inspection

Exhaust Sample Test
- Disconnect plug connection on Lambda oxygen sensor. Unfasten screws.

CAUTION! Exhaust extraction pipes get hot.

- Connect exhaust sensors 13 0 110 to extraction pipes. Check the CO content at idle speed. During the measurement period, switch off the suction unit.

If CO value is too high, check:
- injection nozzles
- fuel pressure
- temperature sensor for water

If CO value is too low:
- Check hoses and connections for idle governing and pinpoint air leak.

If the difference on the individual extraction points exceed ± 0.2 Vol. %, perform an exhaust gas synchronization process.





CAUTION!
Do not adjust the Mass Air Flow sensor adjusting screw.

NOTE:
Check spark plugs after extended periods at idle.
