THE FOLLOWING ANNOUNCEMENT IS EFFECTIVE AT THE

START OF THE E32 PRODUCT UPDATE.


When performing the Voluntary Exhaust Emissions Recall Campaign:

No. 89E-AOl (fuel pump relay harness update) per S.I. 12 01 89 (1795), also install the dual main relay control bridge.


The installation of the dual main relay control bridge is outlined in the enclosed S.I. 12 07 89 (1921).


When performing the fuel pump relay update, the best point to install the dual main relay control bridge is at step # 11, page 14.


When the installation of the dual main relay control bridge is completed, punch out number 21 on the Service Action Label and use the following information for the warranty claim.

Labor operation: 00 50 806


Labor allowance: 2 FRU


Please insert this sheet and attached S.I. Bulletin 12 07 89 (1921) in your E32 Product Update binder immediately before S.I. Bulletin

12 01 89 (1795) in the "Engine Compartment" section.
