This bulletin shows when this change was introduced into series production and supersedes S.I. 13 04 82 (592).

HARD STARTING

1982/83 633CSi, 733i; 1983 533i
Excessively long cranking times may occur at ambient temperatures above 58 degrees F on the subject vehicles.
Should this condition occur, replace the 15 degrees C thermotime switch with a 35 degrees C thermotime switch, part number 13 62 1 274 630.
This change was incorporated into series production as shown in the table (chassis numbers are not known).
NOTE:
The temperature of the thermotime switch can be distinguished as shown.
If the vehicle is already equipped with a 35 degrees C thermotime switch, follow normal diagnostic procedures.
