HID Headlamp, From MY 10

HID Headlamp Bulbs

• Adjust the headlamps after performing any work that could have affected their adjustment, refer to => [ Headlamps, Adjusting ] Headlamps, Adjusting.

Risk of death due to high voltage, injury risk and environmental hazard.

Removing






- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (ND) wire. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

- Remove headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Release locking slide - 2 - in - direction of arrow - and remove housing cover - 1 - from headlamp housing.

- Press the retainer - 1 - and disconnect the connector - 2 -.






- Turn the locking ring - 3 - in - direction of arrow - and remove the HID bulb - 4 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Insert the new HID bulb into the housing without touching the bulb with bare hands.

• Electrical connection must face downward.

- Secure HID lamp with circlip.

- Close the housing lid.

- Secure housing cover using locking slide.

- Install headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Connect battery. Refer to => [ Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.
