Starter

Removing






- Switch off the ignition.

- Disconnect the battery ground (GND) cable from the battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.


Danger of damaging the flex joints in the front muffler.

• Do not bend the flex joints in the front muffler more than 10°.

- Loosen the clamping sleeve - 1 -, push it toward the rear and tie up the left front muffler.

- Remove the right engine mount.






- Remove the nut - 1 - and free up the ground wire on the engine support.

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and the right engine support.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 3 - by sliding the retainer back and pressing the release down.






- Disconnect electrical wire - 2 - from starter.

- Remove the bolt - 1 - and the rear extension from the transmission.

- Remove the bolt - 4 - and remove the starter.

• - 1 - is reached from above.

Installing

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Starter Overview ] Service and Repair.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the engine support and the right engine mount.

- Align the exhaust system so that there is no tension.

- Connect battery. Required actions, refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.
