1 Upper Transverse Link
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Upper Transverse Link ] Upper Transverse Link
2 Nut
• Always replace if removed
3 Shim
4 Nut
• 95 Nm
• Always replace if removed
• Must be tightened in the curb weight position, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing, Raising to Control Position to Tighten Bolts ] Rear Suspension
5 Adjustment Bolt
6 Bolt
• 70 Nm + 180° turn
• Always replace if removed
• Must be tightened in the curb weight position, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing, Raising to Control Position to Tighten Bolts ] Rear Suspension
7 Lower Transverse Link
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Lower Transverse Link ] Lower Transverse Link
8 Nut
• Always replace if removed
• Do not tighten the threaded connection using the nut.
• Axle alignment is necessary if the nut is loosened.
9 Spacer Tube
• Always replace if removed
10 Bolt
• 120 Nm + 360° turn
• Always replace if removed
• Must be tightened in the curb weight position, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing, Raising to Control Position to Tighten Bolts ] Rear Suspension
• Axle alignment is necessary if the bolt is removed.
11 Wheel Bearing Housing
12 Bolt
• 90 Nm + 90° turn
• Always replace if removed
• Must be tightened in the curb weight position, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing, Raising to Control Position to Tighten Bolts ] Rear Suspension
13 Tie Rod
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Tie Rod ] Rear Suspension
• Note the installation position
• Steel tie rod, refer to => [ Steel Tie Rod ]
• Aluminum cast tie rod, refer to => [ Aluminum Cast Tie Rod ]
14 Eccentric Bolt
15 Eccentric Washer
16 Nut
• 95 Nm
• Always replace if removed
• Must be tightened in the curb weight position, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing, Raising to Control Position to Tighten Bolts ] Rear Suspension
17 Bolt
• 70 Nm + 180° turn
• Always replace if removed
• Must be tightened in the curb weight position, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing, Raising to Control Position to Tighten Bolts ] Rear Suspension
18 Nut
• Always replace if removed
19 Subframe
20 Left Rear Level Control System Sensor (G76) / Right Rear Level Control System Sensor (G77)
• The sensor lever must point toward outside
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Vehicle Level Sensor ] Rear Vehicle Level Sensor
• After loosening, check basic setting of headlamp adjustment.
• If the vehicle level sensor was removed and installed on a vehicle with electronically controlled damping or if the linkage was loosened, the control position must be reprogrammed. Refer to => [ Control Position, Programming with Vehicle Diagnosis Tester ] Testing and Inspection.
• If the control position was reprogrammed on vehicles with lane assist, the directional stabilization assistance control module (J759) must be recalibrated. Refer to => [ Camera Control Module (J852), Lane Assist, Calibrating ] Testing and Inspection.
21 Bolt
• 5 Nm
22 Bolt
• 70 Nm + 180° turn
• Always replace if removed
• Must be tightened in the curb weight position, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing, Raising to Control Position to Tighten Bolts ] Rear Suspension
23 Bolt
• 5 Nm
24 Securing Clip
Steel Tie Rod
Installation position:
• The marking - 1 - must be on the outside.
• The point on the triangle points upward.
Aluminum Cast Tie Rod - 2 -
Installation position:
• The marking must be on the outside.
• The horizontal line - 1 - point up.
