Front Belt Latch with Belt Switch E24/E25

Driver seat belt switch (E24) / front passenger seat belt switch (E25)

Removing






- Remove the front seat:

• Manual standard seat/Sport seat, refer to => [ Standard Seat and Sport Seat, Manual ] Standard Seat and Sport Seat, Manual.

• Power Standard seat/power Sport seat/Super sport seat as well as multicontour seat, refer to => [ Power Standard Seat/Sport Seat/Super Sport Seat ] Power Standard Seat/Sport Seat/Super Sport Seat.

- Multicontour seat: remove the trim on the tunnel side. Refer to => [ Tunnel Side Trim ] Tunnel Side Trim.

- Disconnect the connector - 2 - and free up the electric wire.

- Remove bolt - 3 - and remove belt latch - 1 -.

Installation






Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Position the seat belt latch - 2 - so that the cut-out - arrow B - lines up with the hole - arrow A - on the lower seat frame - 1 -.

Deactivating the front passenger airbag on vehicles with passenger occupant detection system :

- If the seat belt latch of the passenger occupant detection system for front passenger airbag deactivation is replaced, fill out the system registration sheet with the serial number and bar code label from the new seat belt latch and send it to the importer.

All vehicles:

• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Pyrotechnic, Electrical and Mechanical Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Testing and Inspection.

• Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, connecting electrical connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

• Observe all measures when installing the front seat. Refer to => [ Power Standard Seat/Sport Seat/Super Sport Seat ] Power Standard Seat/Sport Seat/Super Sport Seat.
