Daytime Running Lamp and Parking Lamp Control Module

Observe notes on contact corrosion => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

• Headlamps must be adjusted after performing measures that could influence headlamp adjustment. Refer to => [ HID Headlamp, Adjusting ] HID Headlamp, Adjusting.

Danger to life due to high voltage.

• Always disconnect the battery wire strap before working on gas-discharge headlamp components marked with yellow high-voltage symbols.

Removal






- Remove headlamp housings. Refer to => [ Headlamp Housing ] Headlamp Housing.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.

- Remove the control module - 4 - from the headlamp housing.

- Press the release - 1 - and disconnect the connector - 2 -.

- Remove the control module.

Installation

• Tightening specification, refer to => [ HID Headlamps Overview ] HID Headlamps Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Make sure the seal - 3 - between the control module and the headlamp housing is not damaged.

- Install the HID bulb. Refer to => [ HID Headlamp Bulbs ] HID Headlamp Bulbs.
