Seat Frame

• There is no separation between the upper and lower (lower seat frame) on the manual standard front seat/Sport front seat.

Removing

• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Pyrotechnic, Electrical and Mechanical Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Testing and Inspection.

• Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

If possible, move the front seat into the highest position, which will minimize the spring force when removing and installing the seat height adjustable unit.

- Move the front seat all the way forward and raise it as high as possible. Then lower it one stroke.

- Remove the front seat. Refer to => [ Standard Seat and Sport Seat, Manual ] Standard Seat and Sport Seat, Manual.

- Remove backrest. Refer to => [ Backrest ] Backrest.

- Remove seat cover with seat cushion. Refer to => [ Seat Cover with Seat Cushion for Standard Seat ] Seat Cover With Seat Cushion For Standard Seat.

• Remove the wires and components and install them into the new seat frame.

- Remove front belt latch. Refer to => [ Front Belt Latch with Belt Switch E24/E25 ] Front Belt Latch With Belt Switch E24/E25.

- Storage compartment, removing. Refer to => [ Storage Compartment ] Storage Compartment.

- Remove the seat height adjuster. Refer to => [ Seat Height Adjustment ] Seat Height Adjustment.

- Remove wiring harnesses and individual wires from the seat frame.

Installation

• Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Pyrotechnic, Electrical and Mechanical Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and Testing Procedures ] Testing and Inspection.

• Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, connecting electrical connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

• Observe all measures when installing the front seat. Refer to => [ Power Standard Seat/Sport Seat/Super Sport Seat ] Power Standard Seat/Sport Seat/Super Sport Seat.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install all the components and wires into the new seat frame.
