Night Vision System Camera Assembly Overview

• If the protective window is damaged and is no longer waterproof, replace the entire night vision system camera.

• Hose Clamps Up to 25 mm Dia. (3094)

Removing

If the night vision system camera (R212) is replaced, then the program must be started on the vehicle diagnostic tester in "Guided Functions".

- Remove the front lock carrier cover.

- Unlock the clip - arrow - and remove the windshield washer fluid hose - 1 -.






- Clamp off the windshield washer fluid hose with a (3094) at a suitable location.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






- Remove the night vision system camera and its retaining plate upward from the front bumper cover. Be careful not to damage the spray nozzle.

- Disconnect the connector from the night vision system camera.

- Remove the screws - arrows - and remove the night vision system camera from the retaining plate.






Removing the Protective Window

• The night vision system camera is removed.

• If the protective window is damaged and is no longer waterproof, replace the entire night vision system camera. Refer to => [ Night Vision System Camera (R212) ] Night Vision System Camera (R212).

- Remove the trim - item 1 - => [ (Item 1) Trim ].

- Squeeze the tabs - arrows - together and turn the cover counter-clockwise approximately 90°.






- Remove the cover, the protective window and the seal from the night vision system camera.

• Always replace the seal when it is removed.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Adjust/calibrate the night vision camera. Refer to => [ Night Vision System Camera (R212), Adjusting and Calibrating ] Night Vision System Camera (R212), Adjusting and Calibrating.
