Image Processing Control Module (J851)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removing

The image processing control module is located in the footwell in front of the front passenger seat.

If the image processing control module is replaced, then the program must be started on the vehicle diagnostic tester in "Guided Functions".

- Remove the sill panel strip.

- Remove the floor mat.

- Remove the foot rest.

- Loosen the front passenger seat and push it to the rear with the wires still connected.

- Disengage the floor covering and push it to the side.

- Remove the nuts - arrows -.






- Remove the bolts - 1 through 4 - and remove the bracket - 5 - from the image processing control module.

- Unlock the connector - 1 and 2 - and disconnect it from the image processing control module - 3 -.






Installing






Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specifications nuts - arrows - 2.5 Nm

Tightening specifications bolts - 1 through 4 - 8 Nm

If it necessary to replace the image processing control module, then start the program on the vehicle diagnostic tester in "Guided Functions".
