Image Processing Control Module (J851)
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)
Removing
• The image processing control module is located in the footwell in front of the front passenger seat.
• If the image processing control module is replaced, then the program must be started on the vehicle diagnostic tester in "Guided Functions".
- Remove the sill panel strip.
- Remove the floor mat.
- Remove the foot rest.
- Loosen the front passenger seat and push it to the rear with the wires still connected.
- Disengage the floor covering and push it to the side.
- Remove the nuts - arrows -.
- Remove the bolts - 1 through 4 - and remove the bracket - 5 - from the image processing control module.
- Unlock the connector - 1 and 2 - and disconnect it from the image processing control module - 3 -.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Tightening specifications nuts - arrows - 2.5 Nm
Tightening specifications bolts - 1 through 4 - 8 Nm
If it necessary to replace the image processing control module, then start the program on the vehicle diagnostic tester in "Guided Functions".
