Wiper Motor with Wiper Motor Control Module

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Removal Lever (80-200)

Removing






- Remove the wiper arms. Refer to => [ Wiper Arms ] Wiper Arms.

Vehicles through 05.08

- Remove the seal - arrow -.

- Unclip the plenum chamber cover - 1 through 3 - and remove it.

Vehicles from 06.08






- Remove the bolts - 3 -.

- Remove the clips - 2 - from the mounts and remove the plenum chamber cover - 1 -.

Continuation for All Vehicles






- Remove the securing clips - 2 - - arrow A -.

The cowl panel trim could be damaged.

Coat the transition between the windshield and cowl panel trim with some soapy water and carefully pull the cowl panel trim - 1 - vertically out of the retainer on the windshield - B arrows - beginning at the edge of the window.

- Remove the cowl panel trim - 1 - by carefully removing it from the retainer on the windshield - B arrows -.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 -.






- Remove the drain channel - 3 - on the linkage - arrow A -.

- Remove the bolts - 4, 5 and 6 -.

- Rotate the wiper arm frame - 1 - with the linkage and wiper motor upward - arrow B - and pull it forward out of the plenum chamber.

Installing

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Windshield Wiper Motor - Tightening Specification and Sequence ] Wiper System Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Insert the wiper motor with wiper frame into vehicle.

- Tighten the bolts, refer to => [ Windshield Wiper Motor - Tightening Specification and Sequence ] Wiper System Overview.

- Position the water drain channel on the wiper motor.

- Adjust the wiper arms. Refer to => [ Wiper Arm, Adjusting ] Wiper Arm, Adjusting.
