Roof Reinforcement, Vehicles without Sunroof, Installing on Body

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Assembly adhesive. Refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

Procedure






- Remove headliner => [ Headliner ] Headliner.

Front roof reinforcement:

- Apply a bead of adhesive - arrow - onto the roof reinforcement as illustrated.

• Distance between the adhesive beads - a - = approximately 90 mm (3.54 in).

• Distance of the outer bead of adhesive to the edge of the roof reinforcement, dimension - b - = approximately 20 mm (0.78 in).

Rear roof reinforcement:






- Apply a bead of adhesive - arrow - onto the roof reinforcement as illustrated.

• Adhesive bead thickness: approximately 8 mm (0.31 in)

• Apply the beads of adhesive according to the line markings on the roof reinforcement.

- Mount the roof reinforcement - 1 -, - 2 - centered to outer sides and at distance - a - to the bow - c - of the roof.






• Dimension - a - = 15 mm (0.59 in).

• Dimension - b - = 215 mm (8.46 in).

• Dimension - c - = 55 mm (2.16 in).

- Press the roof reinforcement on the roof surface.

- Wipe off any adhesive.

Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

- Install the headliner. Refer to => [ Headliner ] Headliner.
