Roof Reinforcement, Vehicles with Sunroof, Attaching to Body

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Assembly adhesive. Refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

Procedure






- Remove headliner. Refer to => [ Headliner ] Headliner.

- Apply a bead of adhesive - arrow - onto the roof reinforcement as illustrated.

• Distance between the adhesive beads - a - = approximately 90 mm (3.54 in).

• Distance of the outer bead of adhesive to the edge of the roof reinforcement, dimension - b - = approximately 20 mm (0.78 in).

- Mount the roof reinforcement - 1 - centered to outer sides and at distance - a - to the bow - 2 - of the rear edge of the roof.






• Dimension - a - = 15 mm (0.59 in).

- Press the roof reinforcement onto the roof from inside.

- Install the headliner. Refer to => [ Headliner ] Headliner.
