Front Brake Disc, Replacing

Use new bolts.

Always replace on both axles.

Removing


The 4 retaining pins for the brake pads on the brake carrier must not be loosened under any circumstances.

- Raise vehicle.

- Remove wheels.

- Remove front brake pads. Refer to => [ Front Brake Pads ] Front Brake Pads.

Do not let the brake caliper hang from the brake hose. Secure it to the body with suitable cable ties or wire. Do not support the weight with the brake hose.

- Remove bolts - 3 - on the front brake carrier.







Never remove bolts - 6 and 9 -

- Remove front brake carrier.

- Remove securing bolt - arrow - on the brake disc while holding the disc firmly.





- Remove disc brake.

When removing the brake disc from the wheel hub, do not tilt the disc.

Installing

Use new bolts.

Clean brake disc, wheel hub and contact surfaces before installing.

- Place brake disc on the hub.

When positioning the brake disc, do not tilt it on the wheel hub.

- Install securing bolt - arrow - and tighten.





- Position front brake carrier.

Do not angle the brake carrier with mounting it.






- Install bolts - 3 - on the front brake carrier and tighten to the tightening specification.

- Install the front brake pads. Refer to => [ Front Brake Pads ] Front Brake Pads.

After replacing the brake pads, press the brake pedal firmly several times while the vehicle is stationary so that the brake pads are seated properly in their normal operating position.

- Install wheels.
