Rear Window Shade







Rear Window Shade

Removing






- Remove the rear shelf. Refer to => [ Rear Shelf ] Rear Shelf.

- Remove the subwoofer (on rear shelf) (R157).

- Remove speakers in the rear shelf.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 1 - on the rear window shade.

- Remove the expanding clips- arrows - from the guide strip for rear window shade.






- Tilt guide strip - 1 - inward slightly and detach by careful turning movements of the two locking mechanisms - 2 and 3 - using a screwdriver.

- Remove guide strip pulling it upward from the connecting piece on the rear window shade.

- Repeat the procedure on the opposite side of the vehicle.

- Press insulation mat to the side and remove rear window shade spreader clips - 1, 2 -.






- Carefully pull rear window shade - 3 - - arrows - forward and remove.

Installing






Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Insert rear window shade - 1 - behind the rear window frame - arrows - and secure with spreader clips.

The pins on the rear window shade must engage in the mounts below the rear window.

- Carefully insert guide strip - 2 - in the connecting piece of the rear window shade - 1 - - arrow -.






The rear window shade guide channel must run into the guide strip without the connecting piece being offset.

- Clip guide strip until the retaining hooks - 3, 4 - audibly engage on the front and rear side with the connecting piece.
