Towing

There is a risk of destroying the transmission.

• If the vehicle needs to be towed, make sure the selector lever is in "N" or the parking lock has been released (refer to => [ Parking Lock Emergency Release, Operating and Checking ] Parking Lock Emergency Release, Operating and Checking).

• The vehicle may not towed further than 50 km (31 miles) and not faster than 50 km/h (31 mph).

• Tow-starting the engine, for example when the battery is too weak or the starter is faulty, is not possible.
