1 Bracket For Refrigerant Lines
• On underbody.
2 Refrigerant Lines To The Evaporator In The Rear A/C Unit
• Removal and installation, refer to => [ Rear Expansion Valve To Connection Point Refrigerant Lines, Replacement ] Rear Expansion Valve To Connection Point Refrigerant Lines, Replacement.
• Removal and installation, refer to => [ Rear A/C Unit Expansion Valve To Evaporator Refrigerant Lines, Replacement ] Rear A/C Unit Expansion Valve To Evaporator Refrigerant Lines, Replacement.
3 Rear Expansion Valve
• For the evaporator in the rear A/C unit (installed on the underbody of the vehicle in the area of the center tunnel).
• The bolts of the connection point may only be loosened when the refrigerant circuit has been discharged.
• Removal and installation, refer to => [ Rear Expansion Valve ] Rear Expansion Valve.
• Ensure the correct allocation using Electronic Parts Catalog.
• Check the function, refer to => [ A/C Unit, Checking Cooling Output ] A/C Unit, Checking Cooling Output.
• After the A/C compressor is switched off in this vehicle, it may take a relatively long time for the pressure on the high pressure side to decrease (the expansion valve(s) is/are cold, the pressure on the low pressure side increases quickly after deactivation, the expansion valve(s) closes/close and the refrigerant can only flow slowly to the low pressure side).

• To the heater core in the rear A/C unit.
5 Bracket For Coolant Lines

6 Coolant Hose In The Plenum Chamber
• Coolant supply to heater core in rear heating and A/C unit.
7 T-Piece
• In the coolant supply to the heater cores in the front and rear A/C unit.
8 Bleeder Screw
• In the coolant supply to the heater cores in the front A/C unit.
9 Coolant Hose In The Plenum Chamber
• Coolant supply to heater core in front heating and A/C unit.
10 Coolant Hose In The Plenum Chamber
• Coolant supply from the coolant recirculation pump (V50) to the heater cores in the front and rear A/C unit.
11 Coolant Hose In The Plenum Chamber
• Coolant return from heater core in front heating and A/C unit.
12 T-Piece
• In the coolant return from the heater cores in the front and rear A/C unit.
13 Coolant Hose In The Plenum Chamber

15 Outlet Of The Refrigerant Line To The Evaporator In The Rear A/C Unit

16 Coolant Hose From The Plenum Chamber
• Coolant supply to heater core in rear heating & A/C unit.
• Refer to => [ Coolant Circuit, Bleeding ] Coolant Circuit, Bleeding.
• Label the coolant hoses prior to removal. If the coolant hoses are interchanged during installation, problems with the ventilation of the heater core in the rear A/C unit can occur.
17 Coolant Hose From The Plenum Chamber
• Coolant return from the heater core in the rear A/C unit.
• Refer to => [ Coolant Circuit, Bleeding ] Coolant Circuit, Bleeding.
• Label the coolant hoses prior to removal. If the coolant hoses are interchanged during installation, problems with the ventilation of the heater core in the rear A/C unit can occur.
18 Grommet For Coolant Hoses
• Installed in the right plenum chamber separator wall.

• These refrigerant pipes are installed in the center tunnel above the driveshaft behind the heat shield.
• The refrigerant pipes of the evaporator connected to these refrigerant pipes are part of the rear A/C unit. They are installed together with the A/C unit, refer to => [ Rear Heating and A/C Unit ] Rear Heating and A/C Unit.
• For the refrigerant pipes to be removed, the left aerodynamic underbody trim and the heat shield in the center tunnel must first be removed..
• To remove the heat shield in the center tunnel, the exhaust system with the center muffler and the driveshaft must also be removed depending on the vehicle version.
