Rear Subframe: Service and Repair
Subframe Overview
1 Subframe
• Subframe with attachments, removing and installing, refer to => [ Subframe with Attachments ] Service and Repair
• It is necessary to program the control position if the subframe was removed and installed. Refer to => [ Control Position, Programming with Vehicle Diagnosis Tester ] Testing and Inspection.
• If the control position was reprogrammed on vehicles with lane assist, the camera control module (J852) must be calibrated again. Refer to => [ Camera Control Module (J852), Lane Assist, Calibrating ] Testing and Inspection.
2 Brace
• Installed depending on the market, allocation refer to the Parts Catalog
3 Bolt
• 17 Nm
4 Rear Bonded Rubber Bushing, Rear
• For the rear final drive mount
• Replace, refer to => [ Rear Rubber Bonded Bushing for Rear Final Drive, AWD ] Rear Rubber Bonded Bushing for Rear Final Drive, AWD
5 Rear Bonded Rubber Bushing, Rear
• For the subframe mounting
• There are different versions; for the correct allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog
• Oil on the hydraulic bonded rubber bushing is a sign of wear.
• Replace, refer to => [ Front Hydraulic Bonded Rubber Bushing ] Front Hydraulic Bonded Rubber Bushing
• Always replace on both sides.
6 Bolt
• 115 Nm + 90° turn
• Always replace if removed
7 Bonded Rubber Bushing, Front
• For the subframe mounting
• There are different versions; for the correct allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog
• Oil on the hydraulic bonded rubber bushing is a sign of wear.
• Replace, refer to => [ Front Hydraulic Bonded Rubber Bushing ] Front Hydraulic Bonded Rubber Bushing
• Always replace on both sides.
8 Bonded Rubber Bushing, Front
• For the rear final drive mount
• Replace, refer to => [ Front Rubber Bonded Bushing for Rear Final Drive ] Front Rubber Bonded Bushing for Rear Final Drive
9 Left Stone Deflector
• Not installed on all vehicles.
10 Clip
• Not installed on all vehicles.
11 Center Stone Deflector
• Not installed on all vehicles.
12 Right Stone Deflector
• Not installed on all vehicles.
