Rear Lid Motor Assembly Overview






1 Rear lid motor 1 (V444)

Removing

- Remove the left side trim panel..

- Disconnect the connector from the motor.

- Remove the bolt - 2 - from the hinge.

- Just loosen the nuts on the motor.

- Remove the right nut - 7 - from the motor.

- Remove the motor from the impact absorber - 6 - toward the right.

Installing a new motor

- Push the motor with the securing pins upward and over both outer nuts.

- Push the motor toward the outside until it can be secured with the securing pins.

- Tighten the nuts to tightening specification.

- Install the nuts - 3 - and tighten to the tightening specification.

If an old motor is going to be installed again, it can be secured with two 7.5 mm drill bits.

6 Insulation component

The impact absorbers must be installed to the hinge with the hex and collar facing the bolting surface.

Rear Lid Motor 1 (V444) , Removing and Installing






- Slide the motor - 1 - upward between the nuts - 3 - and the impact absorber - 2 -.

- Push the motor toward the outside until it can be secured either with the securing pins or the with two 7.5 mm drill bits in the securing holes - arrows c -.

- Tighten the nuts in this position.

- 3. Install and tighten the nut to the tightening specification.
