Grip Piece Assembly Overview






1 Handle

• The rear lid trim panel is removed..

• Disconnect electrical connections.

- Disengage the release cable from the rear lid lock.

• Lock cylinder removed.

- Remove the bracket and remove the outer grip piece from the rear lid.

• 6 Nm

1 Rear lid lock release cable

• Remove the rear lid trim panel..

• Cover - 3 - removed.

- Disengage it from the rear lid lock and remove it with the lock cylinder through the rear lid.

• The release cable must audibly engage into the lock cylinder when installed.

2 Bolt

• 8 Nm

3 Cover

4 Bolt

• 8 Nm

5 Grommet

• Must be installed correctly into the rear lid.

6 Handle

• Remove the rear lid trim panel..

• Disconnect electrical connections.

- Remove the cover for the grip piece.

7 Bracket

8 Nut

• 6 Nm

9 Lock cylinder

• The rear lid trim panel is removed..

- Disengage the release cable from the rear lid lock.

• Remove the bolts on the cover and remove the lock cylinder from the grip piece toward the inside.
