Suspension Control Module: Testing and Inspection






Replacing and Coding Control Module Access or Programming Control Position with VAS 5051B

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051B) with corresponding diagnostic cable.

If testing equipment is needed on road tests, follow the information below:





CAUTION!
Distraction and testing equipment that is not secured properly increase the risk of an accident.

The passenger airbag could be dangerous if it deploys during an accident.

Operating testing equipment while driving is a distraction.

Testing equipment that is not secured probably increases the risk of injury.

Move the passenger seat as far back as possible.

Only use the vehicle diagnosis and service system (VAS 5052) or diagnostic system (VAS 5053).

Testing equipment - 1 - must lie flat on the passenger's lap as shown in the illustration and must only be operated by that passenger.

- Connect (VAS 5051B) with corresponding diagnostic cable to vehicle.

- Switch (VAS 5051B) on.

(VAS 5051B) is ready to operate when it displays operating modes in button fields.

- Switch on ignition.

- Touch Guided Functions on screen.

Then:

- 14 - Electronic damping control module J250

- 14 - Code control module (repair group 40)

or

- 14 - Replace control module (repair group 40)

or

- 14 - Reprogram control position (repair group 40)
