Camshaft Position Sensors

Removing

• The following procedure describes removal and installation on the left cylinder bank 2.

• During installation, re-install all heat insulation sleeves at the same locations.

Camshaft Position Sensor, Exhaust Camshaft

• Engine removed.

- Remove the exhaust manifold.

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and the heat shield - 1 -.





- Remove the heat shield boot.

- Disconnect the connector - 2 -.





- Remove the bolt - 1 - and the camshaft position sensor.

Camshaft Position Sensor, Intake Camshaft

- Install the protective body covers. Refer to => [ Protective Body Covers, Installing ] Procedures.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.





- Remove the bolt - 2 - and the camshaft position sensor.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Ignition Assembly Overview ] Ignition Assembly Overview

• Replace the seals and O-rings.

- Installing exhaust manifold.
