Right Exhaust Manifold with Catalytic Converter

Removing

• Engine/transmission subassembly removed and placed on the scissor lift table (VAS 6131 A), refer to => [ Engine/Transmission Subassembly, Lowering onto Scissor Lift Table ] Engine/Transmission Subassembly, Lowering Onto Scissor Lift Table.

- Remove electrical connectors from bracket and disconnect:





1. For oxygen sensor after three way catalytic converter (G130)

2. For heated oxygen sensor (G39)

- Free up the wires to the oxygen sensors.

- Remove bolts - arrows - and remove heat shield.





- Remove the bolts - 1 - and - 2 - and remove the right bracket for the catalytic converter.





- Remove the nuts in sequence - 6 to 1 -.





- Remove the right exhaust manifold and catalytic converter.

Installing

• Tightening specifications => [ Individual Components of Suspension,
Right Side ] Exhaust Manifold Assembly Overview.

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

- Mount the seal on the threaded pin.

- Insert exhaust manifold in securing strips and tighten => [ Right Exhaust Manifold, Tightening
Specifications and Sequence ] Exhaust Manifold Assembly Overview.
