Affected Vehicles

Condition

^ MIL on, high engine speed misfire.

^ DTC P0300 and/or P3001 P0310 (cylinder misfire) is stored in the Engine Control Module (ECM) data memory.

^ No drivability or stalling concern.

Technical Background

The cause is the software of the ECM.

Production Solution

Improved ECM software.

Service

1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.





2. Update the ECM software of the affected vehicles using the SVM action code listed in the table above.

Tip: After updating the programming of the ECM, it is not necessary to set the Readiness Code.
