Luggage Compartment and Engine Compartment Lamps and Switches

Luggage Compartment Lamp

Removing





- Press the retaining tab in with a flat-head screwdriver - 2 - and pry the luggage compartment lamp - 1 - out - arrow -.

- Unplug connector.

- Remove the light bulb - 1 - (12V, 5 W) from the socket - 2 - on the back side of the luggage compartment lamp.





Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Connect electrical connector.

- Insert luggage compartment lamp into opening and engage on opposite side.

Engine Compartment Lamp

Removing





- Press in the retaining tab - 1 - with a flat-head screwdriver and pry out the engine compartment lamp (W27) - 2 -.

- Disconnect electrical connector - 3 -.

- Remove the bulb - 1 - (12V, 3W) on the rear of the engine compartment lamp from the socket - 2 -.





Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

• If the engine compartment lamps are LEDs, they must be completely replaced if they are faulty.

- Insert the engine compartment lamp into the opening and engage it on the opposite side.

Removing





• The illustration shows the left engine compartment trim.

- Remove the engine compartment lamp (W27). Refer to => [ Engine Compartment Lamp ].

- Loosen the quick-release fasteners - arrows -.

- Disengage the bottom of the rear lid gas-filled strut - 2 -.

• A second technician must hold the lid in place while disengage the bottom of the rear lid gas-filled strut - 3 -.





- Raise the retaining spring - 2 - with a small screwdriver - 1 - - arrow - and remove the bottom of the gas-filled strut from the ball stud.

- Remove the power steering reservoir cap at the left of the engine compartment.

- Raise the rear of the engine compartment trim - 1 - and guide it out at the front of the lid hinge.





- Press the retaining clips together - A arrows -.





- Tilt the engine compartment lamp mount - item 1 - out of the luggage compartment trim - 2 - - arrow B -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Install the engine compartment trim.
