Sill Side Trim

• The sill side trim panel can only be removed and installed with the seat installed.

• Removal and installation is the same on the driver and passenger seat.

Removal





CAUTION!
Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

- Bring seat as far up as possible.

- Remove the expanding rivets - 2 - for the sill side trim - 1 -.

- Open the clips - 4 -.





- Unclip trim - 1 - on retaining bracket - 3 -.

- Disengage trim in seat/backrest stop area.

- Pull the trim as far up from the retaining bracket as the electrical wires allow.

• Ensure bracket - 2 - is not damaged when removing trim.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 3 - on the lumbar support adjustment switch - 2 -.





- Disconnect the electrical connectors - 4 - and - 5 - from the seat fore/aft, inclination, height and backrest adjustment switch housing - 1 -.

- Remove sill side trim.

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

CAUTION!
Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

• Make sure the electrical connectors are pushed in as far as the stop and that they engage audibly.

• Make sure the sill side trim engages correctly on the retaining bracket and the locking clips are closed.
