Engine Compartment Lid Lock

Removing





Proceed as follows:

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and the heat shield - 1 -.

- Disconnect the electrical connector and remove it from by the bracket by pressing the release tab.





- Remove bolts - 2 - and - 3 -.

- Disconnect electrical harness connector - 5 -.

- Lift the retaining tab - 4 - and remove the electrical connector from the bracket - arrow A -.

- Guide the lid lock - 1 - up out of the body crossmember - arrow B -.

- Disengage the cable - 3 - at the operating lever by press the bracket - 1 - out of the mount on the lid lock - 2 - with pliers.





Installing

• Tightening specifications => [ Adjusting Buffer and Engine Compartment Lid Lock Assembly Overview ] Adjustments.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Press the cable into the bracket on the operating lever with pliers.
