Standard Sound System, Digital Sound System Control Module
The Digital Sound System Control Module (J525) is located behind the rear panel in the center.
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Remove the key.
Removing
It is necessary to remove the rear trim panel, the rear storage compartment, the front cover the trim panel on the rear end panel first in order to be able to remove the digital sound system control module.
- Remove the rear trim panel and the rear storage compartment.
- Remove the front cover and the end panel trim panel.
Remove the fuse carrier and the upper cover.
- Remove the bolts - 2 - from the fuse carrier - 1 - and move the fuse carrier - 1 - to the side.
- Disconnect the control module connectors on the upper cover.
- Remove the bolts - 4 - and nuts - 2 - on the upper cover - 1 - first.
- Remove the bolts - 3 - and remove the upper cover - 1 -.
The digital sound system control module can be removed now.
- Disconnect the connectors from the digital sound system control module.
- Remove the bolts - 2 - on the digital sound system control module - 1 -.
- Move the digital sound system control module - 1 - out of the spring - 3 - and remove it from the bracket.
Installing
- Install in reverse order.
