Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519), Through 05.08

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

Removing

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" of the Vehicle diagnostic tester.

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Remove driver side instrument panel cover. Refer to Storage Compartments and Covers in.

- Remove the footwell air channel on the driver side. Refer to Knee Airbag, Servicing in Removal and Installation (Driver Knee Airbag).






- Release retaining springs - arrows - and remove Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519) - item 1 - down from base mount - 2 -.

Shown with connectors removed to provide a better illustration.

- Press connector retaining strips - 1 and 2 - in - direction of arrow -.






- Unplug connectors.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the footwell air channel on the driver side. Refer to Knee Airbag, Servicing in Removal and Installation (Driver Knee Airbag).

- Install driver side instrument panel cover. Refer to Storage Compartments and Covers in.
