Backrest Cover and Cushion

CAUTION!
Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.



Cover and Upholstery, Separating from Backrest Frame





1 Backrest

Removal:

- Remove seat. Refer to => [ Power Front Memory Seat ] Power Front Memory Seats.

- Remove the backrest.

- Remove headrest.

- Remove headrest guides: vehicles from November 2004 => [ Headrest Guides, from November 2004 ] Front Seat Covers and Cushion, Power Memory Seats.

- Remove backrest cover panel. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover ] Backrest Cover.

- Pry out lower grip channels - 3 - (Qty. 3).

- Disengage side grip channels - 2 - (Qty. 2).

- Remove backrest frame. Refer to => [ Backrest Frame ] Backrest Frame.

- Remove cable guide - 6 -.

- Open cable tie - 4 -.

- Pull seat heater cable - 5 - up and out.

- Remove side airbag. Refer to => [ Side Airbags, Servicing ] Side Airbags, Servicing.

- Pry out plastic tabs - 7 - (Qty. 5).

- Remove upholstery with cover.

Installing:

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

2 Side Fastening Strips (Qty. 2)

3 Lower Fastening Strips (Qty. 3)

4 Cable Tie

5 Seat Heating Cable

6 Cable Guide

7 Plastic Tabs (Qty. 5)

Cover, Separating from Upholstery





1 Cover

Removal:

- Lever out grip channels - 4 - from plastic clips - 3 - using a screwdriver.

Installing:

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order. Observe the following when doing so:

- Replace damaged plastic clips.
