Front Interior Lamp With Roof Electronics Control Module, Through 08.07






Roof Trim Lamps and Switches

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to => [ Contact Corrosion ] Service Precautions.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Pry lever (80 - 200)

Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B)

Removing

- If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions" with the (VAS 5051B).

- Select the function or path:






- Follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnosis Tester display.

- Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

- Use (80 - 200) to carefully pry front edge of cover panels - 1 - out of interior lamp as shown.





- Lift off switch trim with (80 - 200), as shown in illustration.





- Remove screws - arrows -.





- Pivot front interior lamp downward and remove from roof trim.

- Unplug multi-pin connector.

- Press retainer tab - 1 - at multi-pin connector.





- Unclip securing bracket of connectors - arrow - and disconnect connectors.

- Unplug remaining connectors.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Engage interior lamp and bolt on.

If the roof electronics control module (J528) was replaced, it must be coded again with the (VAS 5051B).

- Select the function or path:






- Follow the instructions on the (VAS 5051B) display.
