Front Cross-Member: Service and Repair

Front and Rear Crossmembers

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench (5-50 Nm) (VAG 1331)

Front Crossmember

- Mark the location of the front crossmember - 1 -.





- Remove the bolts - 2 -.

- Remove the front crossmember - 1 -.

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

- Note the location of the front crossmember - 1 -.

- Bolt - 2 - tightening specification. Refer to - item 2 - in => [ Crossmembers and Tower Brace Assembly Overview ] Crossmembers and Tower Brace Assembly Overview.

Rear Crossmember

- Mark the location of the rear crossmember - 1 -.





- Remove the bolts - 2 -.

- Remove the rear crossmember - 1 -.

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

- Note the location of the rear crossmember - 1 -.

- Bolt - 2 - tightening specification. Refer to - item 4 - in => [ Crossmembers and Tower Brace Assembly Overview ] Crossmembers and Tower Brace Assembly Overview.
