Right Flange Shaft - 6 Spd. Direct Shift A/T 02E All Wheel Drive

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

^ Used oil collection and extraction device V.A.G 1782
^ Puller T10037
^ Socket and key T10107

Removing

Note:
^ Rules for cleanliness when working on transmission.
^ General repair notes.

- Remove right drive axle.
- Remove right drive axle heat shield from bevel box -arrows-.





- Place old oil collecting and extracting device V.A.G 1782 beneath transmission.





- Remove right flange shaft countersunk bolt with socket and key T10107 by installing 2 bolts in flange and counter holding flange shaft with assembly lever.





- Remove flange shaft with puller T10037.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal. Pay attention to the following:

Note:
^ Replace flange shaft countersunk bolt.





- Remove sealing ring -A- from groove -arrow- and replace.
- Carefully drive flanged shaft, turning while doing so.
- Secure flange shaft with new countersunk bolt, tightening torque
- Install right drive axle.
- Check oil level in bevel box and top off.
