Roof Reinforcement, Installing on Body

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• AK adhesive (D 190 MKD A3)

Procedure





- Remove headliner. Refer to => [ Headliner ] Headliner.

Front Roof Reinforcement:

- Apply adhesive bead - 6 - to roof reinforcement - 1 - as shown in illustration.

• The adhesive bead must not extend over the outer markings - 5 -.

- Position roof reinforcement centered to outer sides and at distance - a - to front roof edge on body roof.

• Dimension - a - = 167 mm

- Push roof reinforcement from inside onto body roof.

Rear Roof Reinforcement:

- Apply adhesive bead - 3 - to roof reinforcement - 2 - as shown in illustration.

• The adhesive bead must not extend over the outer markings - 4 -.

- Position roof reinforcement centered to outer sides and at distance - b - to rear roof pillar inner side on body roof.

• Dimension - B - = 187 mm

- Push roof reinforcement from inside onto body roof.

- Install headliner. Refer to => [ Headliner ] Headliner.
