Right flange shaft, removing and installing 02E, 6 Speed Direct Shift AWD A/T
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
^ Old oil collecting and extracting device V.A.G 1782
^ Puller T10037
^ Socket and key T10107
Removing
Note:
^ Rules for cleanliness when working on transmission.
^ General repair notes.
- Remove right drive axle.
- Remove right drive axle heat shield from bevel box - arrows -.
- Place used oil collecting and extracting device V.A.G 1782 beneath transmission.
- Remove right flange shaft countersunk screw with socket and key T10107 by installing 2 screws in flange and counter holding flange shaft with assembly lever.
- Remove flange shaft with puller T10037.
Installing
Installation is in reverse order of removal. Note:
Note:
^ Replace flange shaft countersunk bolt.
- Carefully drive flanged shaft, turning while doing so.
- Secure flange shaft with new countersunk bolt.
- Install right drive axle.
- Check oil level in bevel box and top off.
