Control Module and Hydraulic Unit, Assembly Overview

CAUTION
Interchanging brake line connections will result in ESP system malfunction.


- After connecting brake lines to hydraulic unit, perform final control diagnosis.

Note:
^ Final control diagnosis can be performed to establish whether line connections have been interchanged.





1 - Cap nut - 20 Nm

2 - Torx socket head bolt - 4 Nm

3 - Brake line

^ Hydraulic unit to left rear brake caliper

4 - Torx socket head bolt - 4 Nm

5 - Brake line

^ Hydraulic unit to right rear brake caliper

6 - ABS hydraulic unit N55

^ Installation location: in engine compartment, left side

7 - Brake line

^ Brake master cylinder/primary piston circuit to hydraulic unit

8 - Brake line

^ Hydraulic unit to left front brake caliper

9 - Brake line

^ Hydraulic unit to right front brake caliper

10 - Brake line

^ Brake master cylinder/secondary piston circuit to hydraulic unit

11 - ABS Control Module J104

^ Installed position in engine compartment, left side
^ The control module is bolted to the hydraulic unit

12 - Cap nut - 20 Nm

13 - Retainer

14 - Bolt - 8 Nm
