Rear Window, Installing
- When installing new rear window, clean and prime adhesive surface as previously described for installing windshield.
- When reusing an old, undamaged rear window, apply adhesive directly on old adhesive bead after cutting back remaining material.
- Glue spacer onto window flange at top or onto rear window at bottom.
- Note different spacers used for insulating glass and standard glass.
- Observe mounting marks on rear window and cover strip.
- Glue on adhesive stopper profile - 2 - at distance - a - = 10 mm (0.394 in.) from rear window seal - 1 -.
- Glue spacers onto rear window according to markings.
Pay attention to different heights for insulating glass and standard glass.
NOTE: Any adhesive sealing material emerging at the lower edge of the rear window when inserting the window into the window opening must be removed immediately.
