Lock Carrier, Moving To Service Position







NOTE: Do not remove noise insulation, only loosen front quick-release bolts. Bumper removed.


1. Lock carrier
- For service position
- Detach engine cover -2- and -3-.
- Unbolt and take out air duct between lock carrier and air cleaner (air duct is bolted to lock carrier).
- On the left-hand side, screw special tool 3369 into thread
- Screw in special tool 3369 on right side.
- Securing bolts -5- unscrew left and right.
- Remove securing bolts -4- and pull lock carrier -1- forward.
- Fasten lock carrier.


2. Left engine cover
3. Right engine cover

4. Combi bolt
- 10 Nm


5. Combi bolt
- 50 Nm
- For service position screw in special tool 3369.


NOTE: After installing lock carrier, check headlight settings and adjust, if necessary.

- Screw in special tool 3369 on left and right as shown.
- Pull lock carrier forward until rear hole in lock carrier aligns with front threaded hole in fender flange.

- Secure lock carrier in position on left and right using bolts as shown.
