Securing transmission to assembly stand

^ Holding fixture VW313





- Secure transmission to engine/transmission support VW 540 - arrows - and fit into holding fixture VW313.
- For insertion it is possible to use workshop crane VAS 6100;

Caution: The center of gravity of the transmission is outside the pivot center of the support clamp. A second mechanic has to hold the transmission housing when it is being turned to prevent it from swinging round.

Note: If a filled transmission is turned on the assembly stand so that oil pan points upward, vent holes on the transmission housing must be sealed.
