Rear Window Wiper, Removing and Installing







NOTE: Make sure wiper motor is in rest position before removing wiper arm.


1 - Wiper blade
2 - Rear wiper cover
3 - Mounting nut - 16 Nm
4 - Spring washer
5 - Wiper arm
6 - Spray jet
7 - Input shaft
- for rear wiper
8 - Wiper blade

Removing
- Carefully lever off cover -2- using a small screwdriver.
- Remove mounting nut -3- and remove with spring washer -4-.
- Remove wiper arm -5- from input shaft -7-.

Installing
Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:


NOTE: Make sure the wiper motor switch is in "OFF" position before installing.


- Switch rear window wiper on and off and let run to end position.
- Set wiper arm -5- with wiper blade -1- onto input shaft.
- Line up wiper blade parallel to the lower defroster wire at rear window.
- Secure wiper arm with washer -4- and nut -3-.
- 16 Nm
- Operate rear wiper.
- If necessary, adjust wiper arm once again and tighten securing nut.
