Air Spring: Locations


Air spring shock absorbers (all wheel drive), assembly overview
Tightening torque for all air lines on the Audi A6 is 2 Nm (9 inch lbs.).





1. Self-locking hex nut, 27 Nm
^ Always replace after disassembly
^ First remove air compressor plugs
2. Air spring
^ Installing refer to Fig. 1
3. Shock absorber
4. Clip
5. Self-locking nut, tighten to 70 Nm plus additional 90° turn
^ Always replace after disassembly
6. Washer
7. Air spring shock absorbers
8. Hex bolt M12 x 1.5 x 95
^ Always replace after disassembly
9. Connection piece
refer to Fig. 2, See note
10. Air line Clip the air lines into markings provided for them.

12. Hex bolt, 45 Nm

Bayonet - connection must be absolutely clean.
^ Coat rubber sealing rings -1- and -2- with lithium - grease G 052 150 A2.
^ Close bayonet - connection by simultaneous pressing and turning.
