ABS rear axle components, removing and installing (all wheel drive vehicles)





1. Hex bolt
^ Always replace
^ Vehicle must not be raised when tightening this bolt.
^ Tightening torque:
2. Clamping sleeve
^ Always replace
^ Left and right side are identical
^ Before installing coat hole in the wheel bearing housing with brake cylinder paste G 000 650
^ Push into wheel bearing housing up to stop
3. ABS wheel speed sensor
^ Push into clamping sleeve up to stop
4. Drive axle with ABS wheel speed sensor rotor (all wheel drive)
^ Check rotor for dirt and damage
^ Replace outer CV joint if the rotor is damaged.
^ Outer CV joint is supplied with ABS wheel speed sensor rotor as replacement part.
