D-pillar Trim, Removing And Installing

WARNING: Observe safety precautions when working on side curtain airbag

NOTE: Removing and installing D-pillar trim - 1 - is the same for vehicles with and without side curtain airbag.







1 - D-pillar trim

Removing
- Open slider on attachment eyelets for separation grill Fig. 1.
- Remove bolt - 2 -.
- Remove bolt - 3 - (1x).







NOTE: When removing D-pillar trim - 1 -, touch only side facing headliner or rear lid.

- Unclip D-pillar trim - 1 - at clips - 5 - (2x), starting at roof panel trim.
- Remove D-pillar trim upward out of side cargo area trim.
- Remove D-pillar trim rearward out of roof frame trim Fig. 2.







CAUTION: Always adhere to D-pillar trim installation sequence.

Installing
- Insert D-pillar trim - 1 - in roof frame trim Fig. 2.
- Insert D-pillar trim behind cargo area trim and to the side.
- Clip trim - 1 - into mounts - 6 - using clips - 5 -.

NOTE: When installing D-pillar trim, simply press on sides facing rear lid or headliner, do not bang or hit.

- Securely clip trim - 1 -.







CAUTION: Make sure trim is secured properly.

- Remainder of installation is carried out in reverse order of removal.
