Trim Panels For Head-level Airbag Avant (From Calendar Week 36.02)

Upper A-pillar trim panel, removing and installing (from calendar week 36.02)

WARNING: Observe safety precautions for working on airbags and head-level airbags.







1 - Upper A-pillar trim

- Removing
- Remove upper B-pillar trim.
- Remove front grab handle.
- Remove sun visor.







- Remove bolt at separating point to roof frame trim.
- Unclip upper A-pillar trim - 1 - at clips - 2 - and - 3 -.
- Pull out upper A-pillar trim - 1 - upward between instrument panel and tension bracket.

WARNING: Always follow installation sequence for A-pillar trim

- Installing
- Insert upper A-pillar trim - 1 - between instrument panel and tension bracket.
- Position trim at clips.







- Securely clip upper A-pillar trim - 1 - at clips - 2 - and - 3 -.

WARNING: Make sure trim has a proper fit.

- Thread in bolt at separating point to roof frame trim with catch strap.
- Install front grab handle.
- Install upper B-pillar trim.
