Removal and Replacement

Brake Light Switch

• Brake Light Switch must be removed for adjustment.

• To ensure secure installation, switch may only be installed once.

Removing

- If applicable, remove the lower air duct.

- Separate the electrical connection.

- Remove the brake light switch by rotating it 45° toward the left.

Installing

Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:

- Pull out the plunger of the brake light switch completely - arrow -.





- Insert switch with tabs - 1 - and - 2 - in designated retainers in assembly opening.

• The brake pedal must not be actuated during installation.

• When installing the brake switch, the plunger adjusts itself automatically.

- Guide switch through mounting hole, press against pedal and secure by turning 45° to right.





- If applicable, install the lower air duct.

- Install the driver side storage tray.

• After adjusting the brake light switch check whether the brake pedal is on the end stop (rest position).
