Cover And Padding For Rear Seat Backrest, Removing And Installing

Removing cover and padding from backrest frame







1 - Surrounding securing strips
2 - Side airbag
3 - Zip fastener
4 - Side airbag protective covering
5 - Opening in padding
6 - Bracket
7 - Seat cover
Removing
- Remove rear seat bench.
- Remove rear seat backrest.
- Remove head restraints.
- Remove head restraint guides.
- Remove surround securing strips - 1 -.
- Pull lower cover - 7 - over bracket - 6 -.
- Fold over cover - 7 - in area of side airbag - 2 -.
- Unfasten zip - 3 - at protective cover for side airbag - 4 -.
- Pull out protective cover for side airbag - 4 - through opening in padding - 5 -.
- Remove cover and padding from backrest frame.
Installing
- Install cover and padding in reverse order of removal.
- Close zip at protective cover for side airbag using Closing pliers VAS 6138.

Removing cover from padding







1 - Seat cover
Removing
- Use Hook VAS 1636 - 5 - to remove fasteners - 3 - out of plastic clips - 4 -.
- Remove cover - 1 - from padding - 2 -.
Installing
- Replace damaged plastic clips.
- Start by pressing transverse rod fasteners into plastic clips.
- Install cover in reverse order of removal.
