Shift Interlock Cable: Adjustments

Special tools and workshop equipment required





- Setting gauge for interlock cable 3352 A
- Protective goggles

Preparation

Note: The center console does not have to be removed if the action described below is carried out beforehand.





- Use a parting grinder to cut through setting gauge 3352 A at rear end of flat section -arrow

WARNING! Use safety goggles.

- Order a new interlock cable setting gauge 3352 A as a replacement for other applications.

Sequence of operations
- Remove shift mechanism cover.





- Slacken off bolt -1-.
- It must be possible to move interlock cable support bracket -2- by hand.
- Insert setting gauge 3352 A between pin on interlock cable lever and interlock cable eye.
- Pull interlock cable in direction of arrow and tighten bolt to 9 Nm.
- Remove setting gauge.
- Always check ignition key removal lock after adjusting interlock cable.
