Oil pump, removing and installing

^ T10055 extractor





^ T40026 locking pin
^ Drill bit 03 mm
^ Sealants

Removing
- Remove oil pan (lower part).
- Turn crankshaft via central bolt of toothed belt gear in direction of engine rotation to TDC Cyl. 3 marking.





^ Notch -1- is opposite marking -2
- If installed, disconnect electrical harness connector at after-run coolant pump.
- Unscrew sealing plug of TDC mark at cylinder block.





- Thread T40026 locking pin into the hole of the removed sealing plug and tighten.

Note: Slightly turn crankshaft back and forth to do so.





- Unscrew bolts -3- and -6- and remove oil tubes.

Note: Oil escapes from oil tubes when removing.

- Unscrew bolts -1- , -2- , -4- and-5- and remove front baffle plate.





- Remove bolt -4- and remove gear -3 for differential gear shaft drive.
- Remove diamond disc from toothed gear.
- Remove bolts -1- and -2- and nuts -5 and -6-.





- Install T10055 extractor into M8 holes alternating (arrows) at oil pan and pull oil pump off of cylinder block.

Installing
Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:

Note: Always replace seals and gaskets.





- Clean threads of studs -3- from remaining locking fluid.
- Replace O-ring -arrow 1-.
- Coat circumference of hole (arrow 2) with sealant.





- Remove bolts -1- and -2- and nuts -5 and -6- of oil pump threaded connection.
- Insert nuts -5- and -6- with locking fluid.
- Bolt in oil pump uniformly at all mounting points, so that the shear pin does not cant.
- Tighten threaded connection to final torque.
- Replace diamond disc on toothed gear -3-for differential gear shaft drive.
- Insert collar of toothed gear for differential gear shaft drive through the chain sprocket onto the oil pump shaft.
- Loosely thread in bolt -4-.





Note: To install toothed gear, press piston of chain tensioner back using a screwdriver (arrow).





- Turn differential shaft-2- , until a pin 5 mm item 3 (e.g. drill bit) can be slid into the alignment hole.
- Tighten bolt -1-.
- Remove pin (drill bit) from alignment hole.
- Remove T10026 alignment bolt and thread sealing plug of TDC marking with new O-ring into cylinder block.





- Install front baffle plate -bolts -1- , -2- , -4- and -5-.
- Install oil tubes -bolts 3 and 6-.
- Install oil pan (lower part).
